The Crime Prevention Officer provides a variety of educational programs designed to assist crime victims and prevent criminal activity in the community. The Crime Prevention officer conducts Neighborhood Watch Programs in which residents are invited to the Police Department concerning programs of interest. The Crime Prevention Officer may also conduct business surveys, home security surveys and speak about public safety concerns. Shepherdsville Police Department also provides a House Watch Program, where officers will check on the home of residents while they are on vacation.
