The Shepherdsville Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the City of Shepherdsville, serving the over 11,000 residents of the County Seat for Bullitt County in Kentucky.

Police Officer Lateral Transfer

The Shepherdsville Police Department will be accepting applications for the Police Officer – Lateral Transfer POPS Certified Officers, must have certification for not less than 3 years. Applications may be picked up from July 19, 2017 through August 11, 2017 at the Shepherdsville Police Department, 634 Conestoga Parkway, Shepherdsville, Kentucky or downloaded below. Applicants must be 21 years of age, H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. Must not have been convicted of a felony or have any criminal action actively being prosecuted. Misdemeanor convictions will be considered on an individual basis. Filing deadline is at the close of business on August 11, 2017.

Lateral officers are hired in to a pay scale of up to 10 years of service and starting salaries will range between $48,548.80 and $52,166.40 annually prior to incentives. Pay incentives include college education, on-call pay and KLEPF.
